Republicans are conniving conspirators, and the Democrats are mere messy bumblers. Each is about the same weight on the scale of moral transgressions, right?

By the way, this is not a "sex scandal," this is a child abuse scandal.
As a society, we need to understand the difference.

That's the way Repubs would like to spin it. Factor in missing WMD, Tom Noe, Jack Abramoff, Scooter Libby, Duke Cunningham, and now Foley, and any REAL values voters must be looking for a new home.

(sigh) how quick people are to forget the past when politics are involved. In the large scheme of things, both parties have had their corrupt officials (as in Jack Abramoff, Scooter Libby, and Duke Cunningham) and scandals (Mark Foley). The presence or lack of corrupt people does nothing to nullify a party's basic message; for example, I'm sure the commenter would not argue that because of the Lewinsky scandal, the Democratic party's platform had no value
