This is a fun cartoon but ya know - It's the little touches like the shoe hanging off the toe that makes this and others really come to life. I'm envious of your ability to capture that spark, many times without us even knowing.
Best cartoon I've seen all year!
You think the ants are big, you should see the birds! We've enjoyed your cartoons for many years. We hope you can join us on Jan. 19 at Fernald!

That cartoon made me laugh out loud this morning! Captured my skepticism about the Fernald picnic exactly.
BTW, I've been an ad copywriter for many, many years and know that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach when the ideas just won't come. You go through all your little tricks--walk the office, drink another cup of coffee, read magazines, play around on the internet--and pray one of them works. Sometimes the false deadline approach works...(okay, I'm going to finish this in TWENTY MINUTES!)
Whatever you do, it works. You're the best!
Jim, great cartoon. Reminds me of the classic movie Them from the 1950's. also, my brothers and I were talking about the Fernald areas this weekend in relationship to the Fort Scott housing development.
