Charley Harper in Color
This is how my Charley Harper cartoon really should have run, had we had color on the editorial page.

Bet this took hours and hours to color!
Nice flat, simple color.
I never knew of Charley Harper until this week.
But I'm glad to know of him now.
Great style, beautiful artwork, just amazing.
Shucks, now you're going to make me cry again. Charlie was a good man who gave generously to Finneytown and many others in his life.
Your cardinal captures the sentiments of many who knew him or were just touched by him.
"...your cardinal..."
???
Any possibility that the Enquirer would produce a print of your farewell to Charley? I would imagine that many Charlie Harper fans would love to have one (in color).
