I must say that I rather like the "over-the-shoulder" style of this blog. I can see the days "cartoon" anytime...but the sketches, jots on napkins, thats what I like to see. I only wish Bill Watterson had some of this technology when he was still drawing Calvin and Hobbes...I admire both of you for your work, and humor, and alternative ways of thinking into my life. Thanks!
Can't really argue with this point of view, Taft needs to step down.
I agree with Jim on the note on Watterson...
I really enjoy the comparison of the initial sketch next to the finalized one. I am now in my early 30's and taking up drawing as a hobby, so those comparisons really help!
Pretty much sums up the Taft administration, clueless.
Enjoying your work out in Big Sky, MT. Originally from Aurora, IN and friends (sorta family) with the Hagedorns, I've admired your work since I picked up my first Enquirer. Love the blog and the inside look. It gives your cartoons a "Special Features" DVD Menu. Thanks for the inspiration!
I am originally from Cincinnati. My father always spoke highly of your work and I took note of it. Now I really enjoy reading your blog. It is very interesting to read the thought process behind your cartoons. Growing up I always enjoyed the cartoons that went along with whatever was captivating the minds of Cincinnati that week. The drawings added greatly to the sense of community.
Just a little note on the Ford cartoon: Volvo is actually owned by Ford (well, now), so the guy in the Volvo . . .
