Why don't you liberals take a look at Tom Toles editorial cartoon in the Washington Post. The one about the injured soldier. Yeah, thats a bunch of laughs huh?

It's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. But then, he's another liberal so you may like his work.

It would not surprise me in the least if you did.

Anonymous, go bang your drum somewhere else, would ya? Not every political cartoon is going for a laugh. Sometimes they're there just to make a point, even if its an uncomfortable point.

But, this is a free society. So you have the right not to read this paper, not read Tom Toles, and start your own paper. Don't complain about what you freely choose to read here.

On another topic...

Hey Jim! Epson C88 eh? I guess the wife asked you to pick up ink on the way home? ;)

I like your work Jim and I don't have any problem with you being a "liberal" (if indeed that describes your perspective, it seems to me more nuanced).

But the comment from "Jon S." is lame, predictable, and dishonest. Nobody is attacking or trying to take away Toles' "right" to create a his cartoons. This is a free society indeed, and you can imply reprehensible things all day long about servicemen and women who have been disabled in the line of duty. Other people have just as much of a right to respond to these claims.

Which, I think, is exactly what the Joint Chiefs of Staff did, in this case.

I would be interested in your perspective on this case, Jim - and also the developing France Soir story.

Hi Jim,

Greetings from Australia. Your work goes from strength to strength. I posted a link from my website. Hope you are well. I remember too well our dinner in the early '80s with Mike Peters and Milt Prigee when you all looked at my gift of a jar of vegemite like it would be perfect to plug radiator leaks, clean drains and fill road pot holes. Drop us a line when you get time. Paul Zanetti. paul@zanetti.net.au / www.zanetti.net.au
